South AustinLength:5 milesThe Slaughter Creek Trail inside Slaughter Creek Preserve near the Circle C neighborhood in sou'-west Austin is a loop nestle alongside wildlife and wildflowers in a prairie setting . The lead – which is partially cover in crushed granite – is partake in among tramper , mountain bikers , and equestrians . Shoal Creek Trail

Downtown / CampusLength:1.9 milesThere ’s no right or wrong way to run this , but we intimate starting on Congress Ave just to the south of the river and work all the way to the Texas Capitol ( if you desire to / are able to keep going , head all the manner to the University of Texas campus ) , then loop around and guide back going south on Colorado St and back to your start point . Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park

North Central AustinLength:1.3 milesWalnut Creek Metropolitan Park ’s shady Walnut Creek track ( not to be confused with the Walnut Creek trail in East Austin ) is pretty popular for mountain rockers , hikers , and trail runners . This trail , which is less rocky than the Greenbelt , is marked with arrows that show you the quickest room out , so you’re able to bail anytime .
