Have you ever found yourself sit in the back course under the blue - and - yellow Cirque du Soleil big top and thought to yourself : “ The only thing that could make this better would be a three - hour line and $ 14 ground beef ! ” Well , your delay may last be over in 2018 , when the first - ever Cirque de Soleil idea park opens at the Vidanta resort in Nuevo Vallarta , Mexico .
That ’s right , sometime year - after - next you ’ll be able to spend your vacation stroll through a daylong Cirque operation , pure with an interactive theater of operations , hydropathy circuit , and of course plenty of plant Cirque performing artist . “ The Park , ” as it ’s being call , will be located on the Vidanta property , a name you may remember as the home to JOYÁ , the Earth ’s first Cirque du Soleil dining experience at its sister property in Riviera Maya .
For now , Vidanta is smashed - lipped about what the parkland will include . But what we do know :

They ’re also touting a huge boon for tourism in the area . The park is estimated to draw 1 million visits in the first phase angle of opening , and an estimated 2.5 million visitant per year to Nuevo Vallarta once in full undefended . Naturally , the result on job is expected to be significant , as well . Some 50 million people subsist in the surrounding 300 mile radius from the Nuevo Vallarta development .
