Cunningham : He ’s lose Stannis . He ’s lose Shireen . He ’s lost his job . He ’s lost his reason for be . He already lost his Word at the remnant of Season 2 . Things are n’t looking too safe . He teams up with the Lord Commander Jon Snow . And then he ’s taken from him as well , when he was going to put his efforts into guide attention of that guy . Or at least being his counselor or an extra set of heart and ears or whatever it may be . Now he ’s been guide away . We [ left ] him in a very odd stead .
My take : Peculiar , yes , and also do-or-die . Davos come out in the last second of the Season 6 trailer , drawing Jon Snow ’s sword over his idle torso as men of the Night ’s Watch also draw their blade . It ’s a secure wager they ’re seek to slip the corpse .
On his S6 look
Cunningham : I’m not in armor , so I do n’t quetch . The boys who wear armour , they ’re the boys who suffer .
My take : Davos will continue to function in an advisory capacity . Check . Does this mean his character ’s journey to meet the Manderlys could still be work into the plot ? At this point we know Jon Snow come back for an epic Northern struggle . But if Davos does n’t join in armor , maybe he behave as an envoy to the northerly lords still firm to the Starks .
OnThroneslocations
Cunningham : Eighty percent of it is shot in Northern Ireland . We ’ve get Iceland , Croatia , Spain . I do n’t get the glamor . All the cinematography is an 60 minutes and a half from my front doorway in Dublin . It ’s Northern Ireland , which is very similar to Dublin , as in " The Home of Rain . "
My take : time of year 6 will make Davos wet . Check . ( Kudos for keeping it local , Liam . )
On shooting conditions
Cunningham : I prefer the cold . It gets red-hot because the costume are unbelievably real and incredibly heavy .
My take : Davos will credibly not embark to the south ( let alone to King ’s Landing or Essos ) in Season 6 . Check .
On this year’s scripts
Cunningham : It ’s an absolute sumptuousness for an player to get to speak the quality of words that these guy rope are frame down . I ’m spoiled .
My take : Liam Cunningham does n’t partake the “ tits and flying lizard ” persuasion of Ian McShane . Reassuring ! His answer also tells us that Davos could have a primary role this season . More pedigree , more scenes , more weight . hinderance .
On Davos' place in the world
Cunningham : At the end of every season I experience like I ’ve been typeset adrift into jazz .
My take : No one is secure . see . But hold back , could Davos share the fortune of Gendry , who disappeared into plot abyss ?
On Davos' future
Cunningham : I’ve never been set undirected into idle words . It ’s probably closer than I recall .
My take : No . Just no . I will not harbor the whimsy . Davos is a subsister . He ’s gon na make it . check off .
