While on vacation when I was 18 , I pass head over heels for a man name Jon . We bring together over a common love of scuba diving , and also over a religious belief in God .
Jon lived on the other side of the country , but we talked to each other from our respective colleges every Clarence Day and made plans to see each other at Thanksgiving . Then , out of the blue , Jon cut me loose . He said that the Lord had recount him not to talk to me anymore .

There were plenty of perfectly fairish reasons for Jon to call it off : we survive far aside , our life were just getting started , there were a net ton of pretty woman at his college … but a message from God ? Come on . turn out , this is in reality a breakup line that ’s been used on plenty of citizenry .

My homegirl Susan B. Anthony said it best : " I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do , because I remark it always coincides with their own desire . "
It ’s entirely possible my x , Jon , really did pray about our family relationship . Maybe he even thought God wanted him to chuck me . But he should have just said he was n’t into me – add a immortal into it was just kind of a douche move .
And though it plausibly made Jon feel like he was less of a bad guy , it made him look right smart bad to me .
Whether derived from spectral need or not , work the God board in separation is just a convenient alibi . At the end of the twenty-four hour period , he or she is really just saying , " I do n’t want to see you anymore . " And is n’t that all you need to know ?
